Statement regarding critically injured Trooper from Executive Director Rhodes and Colonel Spaulding

At 9:30 a.m. this morning, Trooper Carlos Rosario, a ten-year veteran FHP Trooper, was struck on State Road 836 westbound conducting speed enforcement for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Trooper Rosario was outside of his patrol car on the shoulder when he was struck.

Our troopers and all law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day in the pursuit of public safety. I want to thank all law enforcement agencies who are assisting during this difficult time. Please keep Trooper Rosario, his family, his brother, who is a fellow FHP trooper, and all members of FHP Troop E, in your prayers.
